Friday I used red grand prix roses to make a beautiful bridal bouquet, buttonholes. wrist corsage, gift bouquets and top table wedding flowers. The grand prix roses that the bride chose have a gorgeous sent and have a velvety look to the petals. I added diamante pins to give the bouquet sparkle and bling with a subtle bear grass cage over the rose heads. The wedding had a local venue to irlam and cadishead at the Rhinewood hotel.
I place corporate floral arrangements into city reds new stadium reception area. I love creating new designs to brighten and wow the reception area of business, that sometimes can look bare and uninviting, It gives me the challenge to design something new and experiment with new ideas. My latest inspiration is the Japanese art of flower arranging called Ikebana. Ikebana is a disciplined art form in which nature is key, using natural shapes and lines, in a minimalist design.
This weekend I have a Gothic wedding bouquet to make.I love helping my customers come up with ideas and designs, to make their special day unique to them.
We have decided to use twisted willow sticks to give structure and a funky Goth look to the bouquet. Large calla lily will form the centre of this handtie to give impact, with a silk ribbon handle and bead detailing. I have really enjoyed making funeral tributes this week. I feel they are the very last gift you can give to your loved one. So I understand how important funeral flowers are to my customers. I make each tribute as if it was a loved one of my own.
Each flower tribute is bespoke and unique to that person, flowers chosen together with the customer to insure they give that special message of love. I deliver them myself to insure they look perfect for that final goodbye. A beautiful red rose cross, modern horse shoe and bright coloured tear drop arrangement with matching wreath were a few of the designs this week. I feel that my local community of irlam and cadsihead are talking positively about the flowers and service I provide. From the lovely feedback that my customers have given me I know, my passion for floristry, care and attention to detail counts. Thank you. |
